Turbu-Flow
Do you have problems with salt or iron in your irrigation water? Installing a Turbu-Flow will allow you to irrigate with this substandard water and actually grow crops. The subtle changes that Turbu-Flow makes to the salts and iron in the water changes the characteristics of the minerals, keeps them is solution and rather than building a crusty layer of salt or iron on the ground these minerals are absorbed back into mother earth. The softer wetter water will be more easily absorbed into the ground and plants giving a healthier environment to grow crops and an increased yield.
Benefits
-
Salt, iron and other minerals will be kept in solution.
-
Irrigate with a softer wetter water.
-
Water absorbed into the ground more easily.
-
Water will be more easily taken up by plants.
-
Less water loss to evaporation.
-
Pipe and sprinkler nozzles will be protected from hard water problems.
-
Turbu-Flow is a fantastic static mixer, so you get a great water fertilizer mix.
Turbu-Flow water conditioners are an inline catalytic water treatment system which is simple to install, and once installed requires no ongoing maintenance! Turbu-Flow removes nothing from the water, but rather through a complex reaction changes the structure and size of the minerals in the water.
The Turbu-Flow unit comprises of a casing with headers or flanges which house our specially engineered and designed alloy element manufactured from a number of dissimilar metals. Once installed and the when water is turned back on Turbu-Flow begins to work!
It is important to note that Turbu-Flow uses no chemicals, has no moving parts and does not require earthing or a power source!
The operation of the Turbu-Flow system although complex in operation is simply explained;
- The normal laminar flow of water through pipe is soon changed to a turbulent flow as the water enters the Turbu-Flow and flows over and across our specially engineered alloy element.
- There is an electrochemical (galvanic) reaction that takes place when mineral laden water contacts our alloy element.
- The minerals in the water are attracted to the Turbu-Flow alloy and are neutralized.
- Due to the increased water velocity and turbulence through the Turbu-Flow the minerals are "washed" off the alloy in harmless colloidal suspension as neutral particles and are flushed through the system.
These reactions combine to change the characteristics of the minerals in the water which reduce known hard water problems.
Simply put, the structure and size of the crystals in the water are changed, and it is this subtle change that reducers the surface tension of water giving a softer, "wetter" water!

Turbu-Flow has been proven to work effectively with hard water containing extremely high readings of;
- Calcium
- Magnesium
- Iron
- Silica
- Salt
This is all achieved without the need for costly and environmentally harmful salts and chemicals!
